Research Topics

The Fullerton Nanomagnetism Lab is a condensed matter science and engineering group at the University of California - San Diego. We are affiliated with UCSD's Center for Magnetic Recording Research, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, NanoEngineering Department, and Materials Science Program.

Our research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of magnetic nanostructures, both as a probe of materials in reduced dimensions and for the development of novel magnetic storage technologies. This research involves combining materials and device fabrication with start-of-the-art characterization techniques such as synchrotron x-ray and neutron scattering.
